About the project

Rady School of Management Phase One was the construction of Otterson Hall.  More than 21,400 sq. ft. of StoneLite® Indiana Limestone panels in a tooled 8 cut line finish were installed on the exterior along with the exterior elevator lobbies, landings and balconies.

The lightweight properties of StoneLite® panels put less load on the structure of Otterson Hall and assisted in dealing with critical seismic issues.

“We wanted to use natural stone but we knew that conventional stone cladding would be outside our budget.  However, the ease and overall cost of the Stone Panel product made the materials and construction affordable,” said Charles Kaminiski, Principal Architect and Senior Project Manager for UCSD.
